With the aesthetic of a chic boutique hotel, Scotway House offers stunning, contemporary and tech-enabled student accommodation in Glasgow’s West End. Close to the University of Glasgow, the spacious site has its own study and social building with a gym, roof terrace and cinema, as well as private study areas. With accommodation for nearly 400 students, each ensuite room is equipped with superfast Wi-Fi and modern, inroom media capabilities that are designed to both entertain and inform its growing cohort of international students.
BOHO Managing Director, Christine Young shares how Softworx provided the solutions to the challenges faced at BOHO, and why she’s the the first to recommend our unique approach: “One of the most important things for us when we were designing BOHO, was to make sure that the WIFI speed and facilities were suitable for the students for multiple different reasons. We worked with Softworx on making our WIFI happen on site and it was great to have a local company and partner that we could tap into exactly when we needed too. On of the other things that happened after speaking with the Softworx team was to ensure we created a space that helped make the students feel at home, we therefore integrated various other technology from TV screens in the rooms to wider studio spaces that are interactive and a great digital platform to communicate across the site – it’s a real creative way to engage.
